My Little Friend

My Little Friend

[written and composed by HarryBudini]

My Little Friend
When I get home today
I know I'm gonna play with
my little friend

Sleeps inside the wall
comes by when I call he's
my little friend

I'd be all alone if he wasn't home
on my own

Then I got home one day
and they had taken away
my little friend

So I hoped and prayed
that nothing really preyed upon
my little friend

Now that he's lost his home he's all alone
on his own

So to find out where he was
I left a trail of crumbs and cheese
Waiting outside my home
hopeful hands ready to seize

Run into my hand
my hand will understand
my little friend

Curl in your new nest
I want only the best for
my little friend

if he wasn't home I'd be all alone
on my own

They can call me Willard
anyway we'll make them see
that in all the world there are
no better friends than you and me
REVIEWS

reviewer: Jeff Roberts
Positive Comments More Beatlesque music from Harry!! This has a great vibe and an introverted Sgt Pepper story. Really tight and clever arranging here with some stellar bass work and good drums (are you playing drums or using samples?). Super nice guitar solo!
Constructive Comments
The piano may be too "plinky" childlike. I think, as in last review, that you really just need to accept your voice and have on vocal track in the verses. It's cluttered with multiple voices, especially when the phrasing isn't exactly the same in each of them. I'd like to hear this done to potential --do you have someone in your town who could sing, especially a female voice?

Positive Comments Has a childrens TV feel about it. hear a little Beetles vibe in there. Instrumentation is interesting and shows a lot of creativity. can see alot of thought went in to the peice.
Constructive Comments Performance needs to be refined a bit. Somtimes the timing goes; you want to check that. Perhaps lay your tracks down against a metronome. The production also can be a little bigger to deliver all the drama created by the interesting bits which come in and out.
